Yes, you are insured to take the driving test in your car, and your cover will continue once you've passed. Before you commit to taking the test, please check the DVSA requirements to make sure you are going to be eligible on the day. The car should have valid tax and an MOT certificate. You must also have L-plates fitted and an extra interior mirror. Most importantly, don't forget to bring a copy of your insurance documents with you.
